CrewJunction terms of use

CrewJunction is a matching platform for Melbourne roofing workers, businesses and material owners. These terms set the operating expectations for the founding beta.

Public founding beta · effective 7 September 2026

The platform’s role

CrewJunction helps members discover and respond to opportunities. It is not the employer, builder, labour-hire provider, insurer, contracting party or payment agent for arrangements made between members. Each member decides whether another member and a proposed arrangement are suitable.

Your responsibilities

You must provide accurate, current information and have authority to publish each listing. You remain responsible for contracts, pay, taxes, worker classification, site safety, insurance, licences, registrations, permits and project-specific legal requirements. Do not place a customer’s identity, phone number or precise address in a public summary.

Passing on jobs and referral fees

The poster can pass a job on for free, set a fixed referral fee or set a percentage fee. For a percentage, the base is money actually received for the referred work, excluding GST and refunds. The listing records whether GST applies to the referral fee, when payment is due and what happens if the job falls through.

The receiving business accepts the terms in its request, and the poster then approves the handover. CrewJunction records both steps. Save a copy for your records and arrange payment directly. CrewJunction does not collect, hold or guarantee referral fees. Do not share a customer’s details without their permission.

Subcontracting

The poster keeps their customer’s job and pays the subbie for the agreed work. The subbie’s budget can be public; the poster’s separate customer price is only visible to the poster through the marketplace. Agree the final work, price, payment dates and responsibilities before starting.

Urgent cover and messages

Nearby matching uses published availability, trade and travel areas. Distances use approximate suburb centres, not a worker’s live location. Availability can change, and a request does not reserve a worker or guarantee attendance. Confirm the details with each other before starting. Private crew-request messages are accessible to the two members in that connection.

Verification

A CrewJunction verification label records the particular check shown on screen. It is not a guarantee that a member is suitable, insured or legally eligible for every job. Requirements can differ by work type, value, location and contracting arrangement, and members must complete their own checks.

Listings and materials

Prices, quantities, descriptions, condition, date codes, timing and availability must be truthful. Members should inspect materials and confirm compatibility before use. CrewJunction does not take ownership of listed materials or guarantee their quality, safety or fitness for purpose.

Acceptable use

Do not impersonate another person or business, scrape member data, post unlawful or unsafe work, bypass protected details, harass members, manipulate reliability outcomes or use CrewJunction for spam. CrewJunction may remove content or restrict pilot access to protect members and the service.

Beta changes and disputes

Features may change during the founding beta and may be unavailable at times. Members should first try to resolve job, payment and material disputes directly. CrewJunction may review platform records but does not decide the legal rights of the parties.

Pricing during the founding beta

CrewJunction’s platform fee is $0 during launch, with no posting fee or commission. Any referral fee agreed between members is separate and paid directly. The free launch period does not automatically convert into a paid plan. If optional paid tools are introduced later, CrewJunction will show the price and inclusions before a member chooses to subscribe.
